These are a good upgrade for your solar gate kit. Normal batteries that come with solar kits are 9Ah where these are 24Ah so these are 21/2 times more storage capacity. The 30w solar panel we supply with our kits is usually enough for these batteries. We also have waterproof boxes for two of these available for $49
