Automation gates can save you time.
Winter is still here, how many times have to had to get out of your car and open the gate manually drive through then get out of your car and close the gate In The Rain. Lots I bet. Why stress out. How many times does your partner do it for you in the rain and complain. How many years have you been putting up with this.
Are they reliable.
Absolutely, automatic gates are a big industry in Australia and you would know if they were unreliable. They are very reliable and very convenient that is why so many people have them. It is also a security feature which is becoming a big worry these days. If you have a good electric gate or solar gate system with an electric lock or a magnetic lock, it is near impossible for anyone to open your gate. ..
Can I install an automatic gate myself.
Yes, we deal with a lot of customers and I would say that 90% of our customers install our gate kits themselves. It is that easy, anyone can do it. The kits come with an instruction manual, but we also supply pictures of some of our customer installs just so you can see how to do it at your own property. At gatehouse security, we are happy and available for you to call us while you are doing the installation if you have any questions.
Are they expensive.
Some kits are more expensive than others but in general you can buy a good automatic solar gate kit or an electric gate kit between $1000 and $1500 and one that has a good warranty. All our kits have a 4 year warranty on the motors. Way above the industry standard.
How long will the electric gate kits last.
Good question, on average I would say 10 years or more. That is longer than most people own a house in Australia. Very little maintenance is required, just oil up the moving parts every year or so, and if it is a solar gate kit, the batteries will need replacing every two or so years. The remote controls will also need batteries to be replaced every couple of years.
