Can gate visitors ring a bell in my house.

Yes that is possible with the right wireless product. It is called a smarthome Wireless Doorbell. We have them, A waterproof pushbutton at your gate that will ring a tune type bell in your house up to 150m away. Then if you have the correct app on your phone you can even open your gate with the app, this is called a GSM. Everything is possible these days.

Does the gate button need power to make it work?.

No , The pushbutton at the gate has an internal battery 12v 23A model that will last a few years. and easy to replace. The receiver in your house has an adaptor and plugs into any power outlet in the house.  so easy.

Can the volume of the receiver be adjusted..

yes there are 4 levels of volume and just to make you life more fun there are 36 different ring tunes.

Will they work anywhere.

Yes they will, and they work super well but the range might be effected a little with some things in the way like a colorbond fencing for example. That will reduce the range. Or a large steel shed might as will. I like to say they will work 250m-300m.
